Michele is the writer, director and producer of Acceptables. She also stars as Kerri. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Michele sang in her elementary school and junior high choirs. She also performed with friends in the hallways of her Flatbush Brooklyn neighborhood for parents and other children. After seeing the movie Fame, Michele was determined to attend the High School of Music and Art. The audition was nerve-wracking, but receiving the acceptance letter as a Voice Major was a highlight of her childhood. Michele caught the acting bug as a freshman at Sarah Lawrence College after auditioning for Song Class and joining the Workshop Theatre. In July 2017 Michele wrote her first short film "Getting Over", which she wrote, directed, produced and starred in. Getting Over has become an award winning film on the festival circuit and is now available on Amazon Prime, Vimeo On Demand and the ON Channel. Michele received nominations for Best First Time Director and has also won several Best Actress awards for her work on Getting Over. In October 2018, Michele wrapped filming her second short film "Acceptables". Acceptables premiered in the Big Apple Film Festival (Winter Edition) February 2019. Acceptables will also be screened in the Las Vegas Black Film Festival in April 2019. Besides creating her own work, Michele also continues to audition and work on other people's projects, and can be seen starring as one of the 2 leads in "Troll", which is premiering in the Garden State Film Festival in March 2019.
