Raised in Brooklyn New York, Michele sang in her elementary school and junior high choirs. She also performed in the hallways of her Flatbush Brooklyn neighborhood - singing and dancing with friends for their parents and other children. After seeing the movie Fame, she became determined to get into the High School of Music and Art. Receiving the acceptance letter as a voice major was an unbelievable joy.
Michele caught the acting bug as a freshman at Sarah Lawrence College after auditioning for Song Class and entering the Workshop Theatre. It was a fabulous ride that ignited her love of all things theatre.
A couple of years after college Michele took a lengthy hiatus from the biz to focus on raising her daughter. In 2015 she returned to doing this thing that kept calling at her and is so glad she finally listened.
Michele has always written poems, songs and short stories. She also completed a novel many years ago. In July 2017 she wrote her first short film "Getting Over", which she produced, directed and starred in. Getting Over has become an award winning film on the festival circuit. Michele has received several nominations for Best First Time Director, and has also won several Best Actress awards.
Michele recently wrapped filming her second short film “Acceptables” in October 2018.
